Europeans in Japan | Juliane Abart | 2019

In the creation of this work, I was inspired by a quote heard from a designer during an excursion to Japan:
"I'm like a cook, I collect my ingredients, my inspiration and in the end I cook a dish with my very own handwriting."
From collected flyers and posters during the trip in Japan, I intergrated different elements into the comic. For a coherent work I painted these elements in addition on the presentation space.
